Caravan Services UK (“we”, “us”) is a UK directory that connects caravan, motorhome and campervan owners with local engineers and workshops. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights under UK GDPR. We are the data controller, and our registration with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is in progress.

What we collect

  • Enquiry details you submit through our quote forms: your name, email, phone number, postcode, vehicle details, the service you need and any notes you add.
  • Listing details if you are a business claiming or managing a listing (business name, contact details, accreditations).
  • Anonymous usage data — see our Cookie Policy. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Why we use it & our legal basis

  • To pass your enquiry to relevant engineers so they can quote for your work. Legal basis: performance of the service you requested, and our legitimate interest in operating the directory. By submitting an enquiry you understand the engineers we match you with will receive your contact details in order to respond.
  • To send you a confirmation of your enquiry. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
  • To operate and improve the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest, using anonymous, aggregated data only.

Who we share it with

We share your enquiry only with the engineers we match to your request. We use trusted processors to run the service — currently a cloud database/hosting provider and an email delivery provider — who act on our instructions and do not use your data for their own purposes. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to handle your request and for our legitimate business records, then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to erase your data sooner.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, or restrict use of your data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email us at grant.caravanservicesuk@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
